Welcome to the Induni Conservation website. It aims to:

  • Inform anyone wishing to understand mortar and stone conservation.
  • Diagnose mortar and stone failures and suggest solutions.
  • Stimulate debate by publishing news and comment.

The site is now partly functional!

One step forwards and two steps back!

I had been informed that Schaffer was no longer in print, only to discover that a facsimillie edition  is available from Donhead Publishing - www.donhead.com

Donhead have served conservation exceptionally well over many years and I fully appreciate the time and effort that they put into publishing facsimilie editions. I have therefore withdrawn this electronic copy. You should buy the printed book.

Preparations continue apace for the full completeion of this site. It will have heavily illustrated sections on:

  • Ethics and issues
  • Decay drivers
  • Mortar
  • Stone
  • Related materials
  • Repair techniques
  • Case studies

Individual sections will go live as soon as they are completed with full publication expected just after Christmas.
